Kapamilya actress Janella Salvador took to social media to address the accusations made against her by a former personal assistant (PA) about her unpaid salary.
Janella’s ex-PA Michelle Pelongco recently sought help from Raffy Tulfo in Action to recover the unpaid balance from the actress.
In the video uploaded on the program’s YouTube channel, Pelongco said Janella refused to pay her remaining salary of P3,600 for 12 days of work since she got fired from her job.
Pelongco also claimed that she was only paid P8,000 a month during the time she was employed by the Kapamilya actress.
Janella didn’t initially air her side on the issue upon the program’s request, but later released a statement on her Twitter account on Wednesday, noting that it is the “only time you are gonna hear from me about this PA ‘issue’.”
“I really don’t believe I have to defend myself because trial by media is not the appropriate venue for this,” she wrote.
She then challenged Pelongco to take legal action if she did violate something.
“If you believe in your own lies and I really violated something, sue me,” she said.
She continued, “If you’re gonna twist the story in your desperate attempt to get money from me… sorry, hun. 3.6K is small and I would gladly give it to someone who deserves it. Not worth my time.”
“We are literally still going through a pandemic and our press freedom is in danger. Next,” she ended.
