The pilot episode of It’s Your Lucky Day quickly gained attention on social media after one of its segments brought up the ex-girlfriend of one of its hosts, Robi Domingo.
Many were entertained by the segment where Robi and his co-host Seth Fedelin brought groceries from a cart to a tricycle driver who was hailed as the winner. The three had an exchange with their own shout-outs to their loved ones.
“Shout-out ko nga pala ‘yung asawa ko. I love you!” the contestant said.
“Shout-out ko rin pala yung… Joke lang,” playfully joined Seth.
“Ako rin. Shout-out ko rin yung magiging asawa ko,” Robi continued. He is set to marry Maiqui Pineda, who is currently undergoing treatment for an autoimmune disease.
To this, the driver asked, “Ah yung volleyball player?”
“Iba yun. Wala na kami nun,” Robi corrected.
He then joked, “Dahil dyan, tanggal na ang mga papremyo mo. Ito si kuya, ibinabalik ang nakaraan,” before hugging the tricycle driver afterward.
The tricycle driver was said to be referring to Gretchen Ho, Robi’s past longtime girlfriend who was a former volleyball player-turned-newscaster.
It’s Your Lucky Day temporarily replaces It’s Showtime in its noontime slot while it serves its 12-day suspension as ordered by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB).
