Netizens were touched after professional basketball player Bobby Ray Parks Jr. penned a sweet birthday message for the adopted son of his vlogger girlfriend Zeinab Harake.
Zeinab’s son Lucas turned six years old on Tuesday, Juy 18. To mark the occasion, Bobby dedicated a message for the kid whom he addressed as “young king”.
“Happy birthday to my young king,” wrote Bobby in an Instagram post alongside photos of him and Lucas.
“You are such a blessing, and I’m truly proud of you. I’m excited to see and be a part of your bright future. Love, Daddy Ray,” he added.
Social media users can’t help but gush over Bobby’s sweet gesture, with others commending the cager for treating Zeinab’s kids like his own.
“Awww, too soft for this #DaddyRay,” one commented.
One also stated, “Needed a man to step up. Ray understood the assignment.”
“Thank you @ray1parks for loving Lucas as your own. Nakapa genuine. Zeinab and her children deserve the best,” said another.
Zeinab adopted Lukas when she was only 18 years old. In an interview with broadcast journalist Karen Davila, the vlogger revealed she had no plans of having a baby at the time, but believes fate brought Lucas to her.
“Noong nakita ko ‘yung batang ‘yun wala lang parang kinatok ako ni Lord,” stated Zeinab, sharing Lucas was five days old and was sick when she first met him.
“Wala pa naman sa plano ko that time, wala akong boyfriend, wala akong experience sa live-in partner, walang gano’n. Walang anything. Noong nakita ko lang ‘yung bata parang destiny na sa akin ito mapunta, hindi lang to help but also to love him unconditionally,” she added.
Zeinab said a vendor approached her and her mom to ask help for Lucas as his parents couldn’t provide for him.
The vlogger has a biological daughter named Bia whom she shares with ex-partner Skusta Clee.
