Yoona and Junho have developed a relationship while filming for their rom-com series King of the Land, a Korean entertainment news outlet reported.

South Korean news outlet The Proof, which reported that an insider revealed that Junho and Yoona developed a relationship while filming for JTBC’s romantic comedy series King the Land.

It was reported that the two took on the project together because they were already dating prior to filming the show.

Back in 2021, the reel couple received praises for their collab performance while working together as co-hosts of MBC’s Korean music festival ‘Gayo Daejejeon’ for two consecutive years.

Their chemistry led fans to choose them as the ideal “so-chwi (wish fulfillment) couple” they wanted to see in King of the Land. Expectations were raised when the two were announced to star in the series to play the colorful characters of the sassy conglomerate Gu Gu and the lively hotelier Cheon-Rang.

As a result, King of the Land gained momentum in popularity and achieved the show’s all-time high in viewership numbers.

In response to the reports, Korean media outlet Soompi quoted both of the pair’s agencies who have responded to the rumors, saying at first they are looking into the reports.

Shortly after, the actors’ representatives have then denied their dating rumors.

Yoona’s longtime label SM Entertainment responded, “The two are just close and the dating rumors are not true.”

Junho’s agency JYP Entertainment commented likewise, “The two are close, but upon checking [with Junho], the dating rumors are groundless.”

Yoona made her debut as a member of the famous Kpop girl group Girls Generation, also known as SNSD, back in 2007 while Junho debuted the following year as a member of Kpop boy band 2PM, both being under two of the biggest companies in the Kpop industry.
