Xian Lim was more than proud to share that he has passed his proficiency tests in ice skating.
The actor took to social media to encourage his fans that with determination, it is never too late to learn a new skill.
“I finally got to take the Pre Alpha-Delta Test (I’m always nervous about taking tests) Skating on ice is pure bliss.
“Watching other skaters with years of experience, the initial reaction is… wow, this is impossible for me to learn. But to want something you never had, you have to do something you’ve never done,” he wrote on an Instagram post.
According to the Ice Skating Institute Asia (ISIA), the Pre Alpha to Delta test is a basic level test to measure an ice skater’s proficiency. To pass the test, the athlete must successfully perform different required maneuvers in the sport.
In the video the 33-year-old shared, he made sure to feature the times he persevered even when he stumbled.
“It wasn’t easy and I fell. A lot. But with enough perseverance and the people who believed in me, I kept going,” he said.
Back in October, the Kapuso network revealed that Xian will be starring alongside Ashley Ortega in Hearts on Ice, a series about figure skating.
