These celebrities are early birds, who have already exercised their right to vote today, May 9.
As precincts opened at 6 A.M. today, some of our fave stars have already casted their votes way before noon and shared their snaps with their inked fingers as proof that they have fulfilled one of their civic duties.
Maris Racal
Actress-singer Maris Racal was proud to share that she is a proud member of the “6 am club”.
“As a first time voter, grabe yung kaba ko. Shade properly and double check your receipts! Vote wisely,” she wrote along with a snap of her holding up her inked finger.
Kathryn Bernardo
It was a good morning for Kathryn Bernardo, her mom Min, and her sister Kaye as they started their Monday morning with their votes already cast.
Regine Velasquez and Ogie Alcasid
The couple took on the morning together as they shared online that they have already casted their votes this morning.
“Bumoto na po. God bless the Philippines,” Ogie wrote in his caption.
Mariel Rodriguez
Television host Mariel Rodriguez shared she woke up at 5 in the morning to line up at her polling place to vote.
“I voted!!!! Woke up at 5:15am showered at 5:20… arrived at 5:58. Lined. Finished voting at 7am!!!!!” she said.
Francine Diaz
Actress Francine Diaz reminded the youth to vote right for their future.
“Tayong kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan, pumili tayo ng leader na may malasakit sa lahat ng pilipino, yung may pagmamahal sa bawat tao, hindi umaatras sa anumang laban, hindi sa una lang magaling, may pagmamahal sa bayan,” she wrote on a social media post.
Kim Chiu
Kim Chiu smiled from ear to ear as she shared that she has already did her part as a Filipino citizen.
“Voting is the most precious right of every Filipino. Exercise it wisely,” she reminded her fans on Instagram.
Jodi Sta. Maria
Jodi Sta. Maria couldn’t help but share how emotional she felt while filling out her ballot this morning.
“Nung nabasa na ng machine, lumabas ang resibo, napasobra ang lagay ng ink sa daliri ko halos napaiyak ako (dahil mahapdi rin siguro dahil sa kakakutkot ko ng index finger ko bago bumoto. Election anxiety perhaps),” she recounted her experience.
