Now a mother, Janella Salvador is making sure that her priorities are sorted out before she and her boyfriend Markus Paterson finally tie the knot.
The actress was straight to the point when she revealed that she and Markus will not be marrying anytime soon when she was interviewed on Ogie Diaz’s YouTube channel.
“Wag na muna. Matagal tagal pa ‘yun. Di pa namin iniisip,” she said.
The 23-year-old assured that she and Markus are still okay but they are focusing on being parents for their one-year-old.
“Syempre gusto ko pag nagpakasal kayo, sobrang-sobrang okay ang lahat. Stable ka financial, emotionally, lahat. We’re still learning new things about each other and how we are as parents so hindi pa namin naiisiop yung, ‘pakasal na tayo’ ganon, wala pa,” she explained.
Janella also shared that they are smoothing things out like the trauma she got from her past relationship.
“’Yung part na na-trauma ako for some reason being around drunk people, drunk men. ‘Pag lalaki tapos lasing, tapos wala sa sarili dun ako na-trauma. Alam ni Markus ‘yun,” she said.
When asked what Markus has done to ease these feelings, Janella laughed and admitted they are still working on it.
“We’re working on it. Syempre he’s younger, hindi niya maiwasan na gusto niya mag-enjoy minsan. Hindi niya naman din kasalanan na may trauma ako pero we’re trying to work on it,” she said.
It was in January of last year when Janella and Markus finally revealed that they are now parents to a baby boy named Jude.
