KD Estrada and Alexa Ilacad are bidding farewell to their beloved pairing, KDLex.
The pair’s fan community, KDLex International Sweethearts, announced in an X post on Tuesday, May 12, confirming that after “many heartfelt conversations” between the two stars, they have mutually agreed to part ways as a love team “due to the circumstances, external factors, and the people surrounding them.”
“Though their journey as a pairing has come to an end, the respect, care, and friendship between them remain. What KDLex shared was genuine, and the happiness and memories they gave to all of us will always be cherished,” the statement read.
The statement also reflected on the bond formed within the fandom throughout the years, “As fans, we will forever treasure the journey we shared together…the moments that made us laugh, cry, and hope, as well as the friendships we found along the way. It has truly been a beautiful rollercoaster ride.”
“They are deeply grateful for all of you and will always carry that love with them wherever life takes them. We hope we can continue to give them the same kindness and support as they move forward individually. Thank you for loving them so sincerely,” the statement concluded in a bittersweet note.
Alexa, meanwhile, penned a heartfelt message to Sweethearts who supported her and KD over the years.
“I am truly grateful to all the Sweethearts — more than you will ever know. I will forever cherish and remember everything you have done for me and KD from the very beginning: the sacrifices, the heartaches, the laughter, and all the beautiful memories and bondings we shared together,” the singer-actress addressed fans.
“And no matter who you choose to support, as long as RESPECT REMAINS, I will continue to love and appreciate all of you. Thank you for all the love, unwavering support, and kindness you have given me and KD. We will always carry that in our hearts,” she added.
While KD has yet to release a personal statement as of writing, he reposted the same announcement on his official Instagram page.
KDLex became widely popular after KD and Alexa appeared together as housemates on Pinoy Big Brother: Kumunity Season 10.
