Kapuso actor Dingdong Dantes will play as a former scout ranger-turned-tailor in Baclaran in Dominic Zapata’s action series, “The Master Cutter,” which will be released on Netflix on April 17, 2026.
“Ready to accept your orders. Your bestidas and your suits,” he said in jest.
During the first “Next on Netflix” event in February, Dantes excitedly shared his character ‘Atoy,’ a tailor leading a double life as a bounty hunter.
“Aside from being an action-packed series, what I like about it is it’s full of heart. It’s always interesting to explore the human side of all the characters we portray because I think the characters that we bring to life are a reflection of what is happening around us at that given moment,” he noted.
“’Master Cutter’ is an action series. We set it in Baclaran,” Director Dominic Zapata revealed.
Adding, “We layered the chaos of Baclaran with all the action scenes but the point being is we want to see through the chaos, through individual characters. People who live in Baclaran, try to delve into their lives and see what really is behind these people.”
Dantes teased packed action scenes and emphasized the different layers of his character that will be revealed as the story unfolds.
The new series will also premiere in primetime on GMA on April 20, 2026.
