The cast of the ’90s show T.G.I.S. — Angelu de Leon, Bobby Andrews, Rica Peralejo, and Michael Flores — joined forces for Mark A. Reyes’s Christmas anthology, “Paskong Pinoy.”
“If you grew up in the Philippines during the 90s, you will know who we are,” Andrews said in jest.
When asked why they said yes to the project, the three said they wanted to be reunited after not working together for more than a decade.
“I would like to do it because I would be reunited with people I’ve known for almost all my life. I’ve known them since I was 14 years old, and I am now 24. Haha! ’90s people know I’m lying [about my age], but yes, that’s a very big part of why I said yes. And also just to be part of a Netflix original. You can just imagine how my boys (kids) screamed when I said, ‘You know, Mama is going to be on a Netflix original,” Peralejo explained.
“When we got to do the story reading, it was just really magical. And then when we shot all our sequences together, it was just pure magic. It was just nostalgia — us being together again after so many years apart and reminiscing about the old times…It’s such an honor to be back here and do a show with Netflix. And to be with them again. It wasn’t really work at all,” De Leon added.
“If there’s anything that is so Pinoy, it’s Christmas for us,” Director Mark A. Reyes stressed.
Barbie Forteza and Enchong Dee will also be featured in the Christmas anthology. It will stream on Netflix on December 3, 2026.
