Kathryn Bernardo couldn’t help but laugh when the name of her ex-boyfriend, actor Daniel Padilla, came up during an episode of Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT).
During the audition segment that aired on Sunday, acrobatic contestant Raymart Pandalan caught the attention of judge Freddie “FMG” Garcia, who noticed the young man’s resemblance to Daniel.
Sitting beside FMG on the judges’ panel was Kathryn, who was quick to notice Pandalan even before the comment.
“Para kang si Ronnie no, Ronnie Alonte,” Kathryn said, referring to her fellow Kapamilya actor.
While Kathryn saw Ronnie Alonte in the contestant, FMG had a different take. Before Pandalan could begin his act, FMG asked, “May isang tanong lang ako. Kamag-anak mo ba si Daniel Padilla?”
The studio erupted into cheers, and all eyes turned to Kathryn, who reacted with laughter and a hint of surprise at the mention of her former long-time boyfriend.
“Ronnie nga sabi ko. Ronnie,” an amused Kathryn said in respondse to FMG’s remark.
Eventually, she agreed with the observation, pointing out the contestant’s similar mullet hairstyle with Daniel in his current TV series, “Hair? Same hair [sa] Incognito.”
Kathryn and Daniel, being a well-known reel-to-real-life partners, became a hot topic after confirming their split in November 2023, ending their 11 years relationship.
