Filipina veteran actress Jaclyn Jose was among the late film icons remembered during the “In Memoriam” segment of the 97th Academy Awards, popularly known as the Oscars.
“The Academy honors friends and colleagues we lost over the last year. Take a moment to remember the artists and filmmakers we lost in 2024-2025,” read a statement on the official Oscars website.
Jaclyn was recognized alongside Hollywood stars such as Michelle Trachtenberg, Gene Hackman, Maggie Smith, Gena Rowlands, Shannen Doherty, and Olivia Hussey, among others.
Jaclyn’s daughter, Andi Eigenmann, took to Instagram to express her pride for her late mother.
“My nanay is among other Hollywood artists and filmmakers who are remembered by The Academy this year,” she wrote, sharing a screenshot of the tribute.

Jaclyn, the first and only Filipino to win the prestigious Cannes “Best Actress” award, passed away at the age of 60 last year.
