Taehyung or V of K-pop supergroup BTS is mourning the passing of his beloved Pomeranian dog, Yeontan.

The singer took to Instagram stories on Monday to share the heartbreaking news after briefly reflecting on his recent music release.

“Yeontan has embarked on a long journey to the dog stars,” shared V as he posted clips of him feeding Yeontan.

“I thought a lot about how to tell you this, but I felt it was right to share this news with ARMY, who have shown so much love for Yeontan,” V addressed fans, as translated by South Korean media outlet Soompi.

“I would be grateful if you could remember Yeontan and wish for his happiness even in the stars,” he added as he wished his fans well.

V also reminisced his cherished moments with Yeontan, posting a series of clips and photos of them together in an Instagram carousel.

“Mr. Kim Yeontan,” he simply wrote as tribute to his furbaby he first introduced in 2017.

While did not mention Yeontan’s cause of death, V previously revealed that his dog underwent two unsuccessful surgeries last year.

The singer has shown much adoration for his beloved pet who made cameos in his works such as his “It’s Beginning To Look a Lot like Christmas” in 2022, and was featured on the cover of his “Layover” solo album in 2023.
