The collab we didn’t know we needed!
Fans were shocked after “Dilaw” hitmaker Maki shared the stage with American pop-rock duo LANY during their “A Beautiful Blur World Tour” on Saturday, October 12, 2024.
In the middle of the “Out of My League” performance from their fifth studio album “A Beautiful Blur,” lead vocalist Paul Jason Klein introduced Maki.
“Everyone welcome, Maki to the stage,” Paul said as the audience went wild.
Maki even sang an acoustic version of his hit song “Dilaw” while LANY played an instrumental.
“Give it up for Maki, everybody, your Filipino superstar!” Paul said after Maki’s performance.
The online community went wild after the unexpected collab of Maki and LANY.
“This duo kagabi! Sobrang arghhh biglaan ba naman may special guest,” a netizen commented.
“So proud! What an impressive achievement for a rising artist like Maki 🥺 deserve so much!” another said.
In an Instagram story, Maki said to the band,” Thank you for having me.”
The Philippines is part of the Asian leg of LANY’s “A Beautiful Blur” world tour. The band last performed in the Philippines in 2022 for a five-day concert at the Mall of Asia Arena.
They recently concluded their day 1 concert at the Philippine Arena and are set to bring their concert at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino on October 13-15, 2024.
