“What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim?” star Park Min Young charmed her Filipino fans with her wit and talent as she held her first-ever fanmeeting at the SM Skydome in Quezon City on May 12, 2024.
To make the most out of her time in Manila, she prepared a two-day event to spend quality time with her Filipino MY Beans. Ahead of her “My Brand New Day” fanmeet, Min Young entertained questions from the media and her fans at a press conference at a mall in Taguig City on May 11, 2024.
Aside from her top-notch acting skills, Min Young is known for her idol-like visuals. She finally revealed the secret behind her glowing and youthful skin.
“I kinda have sensitive skin so I try to drink a lot of water and keep my skin moist, and what else, I put on a facial mask every day as well and try not get too stressed but stay happy and that works,” she said.
The “Marry My Husband” actress received a warm welcome from her fans and in return, she exuded enthusiasm to show love for them.
Dubbed as the “rom-com queen,” Min Young teased her fans that she might steer away from her usual character in her next project.
“I didn’t have that much opportunity to portray a physically demanding character. Maybe it’ll be great if I have a chance to have a wild and adventurous project, to be completely different from my previous characters,” she said.
Min Young made sure to bring her A-game to the fanmeeting event presented by Rafaella Films and Entertainment Productions and CDM Entertainment.
The 38-year-old did not disappoint when she kickstarted the event with a cover of (G) -Idle’s Yuqi “Bad Liar”, one of the OSTs in her latest drama, “Marry My Husband.”
She also showcased her talent in singing and dancing in her performance of “You & Me” by BLACKPINK’s Jennie and “Flowers” by Miley Cyrus.
Min Young also gamely served the best fan service in the fanmeet’s “this or that” portion, sharing unreleased photos, and even giving tattoo recommendations to her fans.
Min Young also didn’t miss the chance to practice all the Filipino words she learned.
“Min Young, Why do you keep getting prettier and prettier?” the host asked.
“Totoo ba? Salamat po. Maraming Salamat po. Ako lang ‘to!,” she joked.
When asked what Filipino words she would teach her friends back home, Min Young picked the phrase “Totoo ba?”
“Uhm… Totoo ba? I just learned it recently, I thought I like the sound of it, it’s so cute,” she said.
Min Young couldn’t help but turn emotional when a Chinese fan flew to the Philippines just to see her. Some MY Beans also had the chance to share how Min Young’s shows helped them get through the pandemic.
“It’s very surreal kasi I’ve been watching her during pandemic only. And she inspired me to be happy because I was so sad during the pandemic,” a fan shared.
“I’m really grateful to have such a fan like you. You know as an actor, to have these kinds of fans is a [blessing]. It’s just a blessing you know,” Min Young said as she expressed her gratitude to them.
Min Young is also known for her roles in K-drama series “Love in Contract,” “Forecasting Love and Weather,” “Her Private Life,” and “Sungkyunkwan Scandal.”
