Actor Rayver Cruz issued an apology after receiving criticism from bashers for his playful behavior with his girlfriend, Julie Anne San Jose.
Rayver expressed regret for his antics during a livestream session with Julie Anne on Saturday, March 16.
In a video clip circulating online, Rayver exhibited “unusual playfulness”, laughing uncontrollably during the live stream session.
Netizens noticed from the video that the actress seemed uncomfortable with her boyfriend’s behavior. As a result, some bashers accused the Kapuso actor of being intoxicated or “out of it” with his actions.
In response to the accusations, Julie Anne conveyed her dismay towards the severe allegations and called for an end to the criticisms.
In her reply to an X post, Julie wrote, “Minsan lang po ako sumagot sa mga ganto but sobra ka na po. Below the belt and harsh na po itong accusations, please stop ?”
Rayver’s apology post on his X page shortly came after.
“Sa mga na offend sa kilos ko kanina sa live stream namin, sorry. But I was just being myself. Playful and happy talaga ako. Lalo na when I’m with my love. She knows that, she knows me. I don’t usually speak up pero ibang usapan na ang accusations,” explained Rayver.
“Una, hinding hindi ko kayang saktan si Julie. My mom raised me right,” he added.
The actor further emphasized that he often touches Julie Anne’s hair, even in their other videos together.
“Hinawakan ko yung [buhok niya] na lagi kong ginagawa sa mga iba pa namin videos [‘pag] magkasama kami pero kung iba po ang dating sa ibang tao wala na po ako magagawa don,” clarified Rayver.
The dancer-actor emphasized his love and respect for his longtime girlfriend, as well as with her family, saying, “I respect Julie sobra sobra and sobra ko syang mahal pati ang family nya.”
“Pangalawa, may respeto ako sa trabaho ko at sa mga katrabaho ko. Hinding hindi ako gagawa ng makakasira dun. At sana, matuto na rin tayo rumespeto sa iba at maging malawak ang pag-iisip. Salamat po and goodnight!,” Rayver concluded.
