Former Hashtags member actor Jon Lucas is deeply saddened by the passing of his father.
The actor-dancer announced the sad news in a series of Instagram posts, along with photos of him and his father.
“It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of my father, Arturo S. Lucas Jr.,” Jon’s message began.
He described his dad as “a great father, a great grandfather, my mentor, my inspiration” and expressed his love for him in the post.
Jon reshared another user’s upload showing clips of his father’s burial on his Instagram story.
In a separate post, Lucas shared a throwback photo of him as a baby carried by his dad, expressing his pride as his “father’s legacy”.
“He carried me until his last breath. I’ll carry his name until mine. ?? #IAmMyFathersLegacy,” he wrote in the caption.
In his most recent post, Jon thanked those who grieved and offered help to his family while also expressing his faith in getting through the loss of his father. This came with a photo of him
“Salamat po sa lahat ng mga kaibigan, kakilala at mga Kapatid na nakiramay at nagpaabot ng kanilang tulong sa aming pamilya,” he penned to his loved ones.
He continued, “Salamat sa Panginoong Diyos sa lakas na ipinagkaloob niya sa panahon ng matinding pagsubok na ito. Salamat sa Pamamahala sa paggabay. Tunay at patuloy na sasampalatayanan ang sinabing ito”
Lucas also included a Bible verse in his post and concluded his message with: “Ama ng bahala ??☝?”
The comment sections of his posts poured with messages of consolation and condolences from colleagues and celebrity friends including Dingdong Dantes, Rocco Nacino, Zeus Collins, Pat Sugui, and Raymart Santiago among others.
