Netizens are abuzz after eagle-eyed fans noticed that Kathryn Bernardo appeared to have unfollowed Andrea Brillantes on Instagram.
Andrea, on the other hand, is still following the actress on the photo-sharing app.
The apparent move comes amid rumors that Kathryn and longtime boyfriend Daniel Padilla have called it quits.
A recent sighting of the two in public, having fun dancing together, however, dismissed the split speculations.
Rumors of the longtime couple’s breakup sparked after a supposed blind item linking Andrea and Daniel surfaced online.
Talent manager and comedian Ogie Diaz in his Youtube channel alleged that Kathryn wouldn’t want Daniel to work on a project together with Andrea. The Kapamilya stars formerly worked together in the Pangako Sa ‘Yo remake.
Ogie’s remarks, however, didn’t sit well with fans, with some labeling him as a “fake news peddler”.
In a separate vlog, the talent manager stressed that what he said in the vlog are “unconfirmed reports” from a source who he opted not to identify.
“Tulad ng hiling ng mga KathNiel, at tulad din ng hiling namin sa mga nakaraan na episode, sana hindi totoo yung mga naglalabasan—na hindi sa akin nagsimula ito.”
Ogie also offered apologies to everyone who he said may heaven offended with his words.
“Gusto ko lang linawin. Ayaw ko namang magtuturo kung kanino ung nanggaling ang chika. Kung sa palagay niyo kami ay naka-offend, humihingi po kami ng sorry.
“Sa mga artista po, na feeling nila na-offend namin sila, sorry po,” he said.
