Kaila Estrada stood up for her fellow actress Anji Salvacion who has been receiving hate over her role in the Prime Video original series Linlang.
During the recently held Opulence Ball 2023, Kaila, who was dressed as Medusa for the Halloween event, took the opportunity to defend her co-star, Anji Salvacion, from bashers criticizing the latter’s acting in the said series.
Kaila and Anji are both part of the top-rated thriller series in Prime Video Philippines, together with A-list Kapamilya stars Paulo Avelino, Maricel Soriano, Kim Chiu, and JM De Guzman.
In an interview with The Philippine STAR, Kaila stated that she understands the criticism Anji receives for her acting, but some people have gone to excessive lengths.
“I understand that criticism is part of it, ’di ba? We welcome it because we learn from the criticism that we receive. But I think some people may have taken it too far,” she told STAR.
The actress appealed to netizens to take responsibility for what they say online, emphasizing the importance of kindness.
“I really hope that we can just be kinder and nicer and more responsible in what we say online because siyempre ‘di naman natin alam yung nagiging effect yun sa kanya. So, I hope people can be nicer,” Kaila said.
Anji previously addressed the criticisms of her performance as Kate Alcantara in the thriller series.
