Sylvia Sanchez reunites with nurse who attended to her when she had COVID-19

COVID-19 survivor Sylvia Sanchez shared that she has finally reunited with the nurse who attended to her and husband Art Atayde when they were sick with the virus.

After seven months, the veteran actress said on social media that she finally got to hug one nurse Dianne Engco.

“Habang niyayakap kita kanina ang sarap sarap sa pakiramdam na mapasalamatan ka ng buong buo. Nakakabilib ang dedikasyon mo bilang Charge Nurse sa aming mga Covid Patients,” she said.

She then thanked Dianne for her encouraging words when she was still battling the illness. Sylvia opened up that she even turned to the nurse to ask if she would make it back home to her children.

“Isa ka sa naging anghel ko habang nasa hospital bed ako at nakikipaglaban kay Covid19. Maraming maraming salamat sayo bagong kaibigan, bagong kapamilya,” she wrote.

In March, Sylvia announced that she and Art tested positive for the virus. In less than a month, they were able to recover.

Sylvia wasn’t the only celebrity who reached out to healthworkers who took care of them during their COVID-19 battle. Earlier, actress Iza Calzado personally showed her appreciation for her nurses when she herself was a COVID patient back in March.
