Kangkong Chips owner Josh Mojica introduces SOCIA, the newest software agency

Gen Z entrepreneur Josh Mojica, popularly known for his success with Kangkong Chips, is now making his mark in the digital world.

On March 28, 2025, he officially launched SOCIA, a software agency designed to help business owners streamline operations and grow with the power of technology.

“With SOCIA, you can borrow our brain. We don’t just build software; we build ideas, systems, and strategies that take businesses to the next level,” he said.

SOCIA offers services such as creating custom software, community-driven platforms AI-powered automation. They also design systems that help businesses run faster, smoother, and more profitably.

When asked why he established SOCIA, Josh said that it all started with a question: Why do so many businesses fail, despite having great products and hardworking teams?

As a young entrepreneur who built multiple successful business ventures, he found the answers along the way. At 18 years old, Josh established his own company and was able to build a seven-figure business by selling kangkong chips in 2022.

From being a home-based business, Josh’s Original Kangkong Chips are now available in supermarkets and malls. He also has hundreds of distributors and resellers worldwide.

As Kangkong Chips grew, Josh saw firsthand how businesses struggle without the right system in place. This is what led him to start SOCIA.

“No matter how good you are, without a system, you will eventually hit a wall,” Josh said at the SOCIA launch event.

“What we offer isn’t just technology—it’s something money can’t buy: peace of mind. A business that runs smoothly, where you don’t have to worry about losing customers or missing opportunities. That’s what SOCIA is about,” Josh added.

During the launch last week at the Penthouse, World Plaza, BGC, Reiner Cadiz, SOCIA’s Chief Technology Officer took the stage alongside Josh as he talked software and business survival.

“99% of businesses in the Philippines don’t have a system—that’s why they struggle. I’ve seen companies lose millions just because they didn’t have the right automation in place. SOCIA exists to fix that,” Cadiz said.

Meanwhile, Yohan, SOCIA’s Chief Marketing Officer, shared his own battle scars from managing brands and influencers.

“Marketing isn’t the problem. The real problem is conversion. Without automation, leads go to waste. We’re changing that” he admitted.

Business owners from various industries attended the launch including renowned wealth coach Chinkee Tan.

Josh stressed that SOCIA isn’t just aiming to change local businesses—it’s setting its sights on the global stage. With plans to develop world-class software, AI-driven automation tools, and international applications, SOCIA is on track to become the first Philippine software agency to make an impact worldwide.

“This is just the beginning. We are not here to compete. We are here to change the game,” Josh declared.

As the event wrapped up, Josh shared a parting message with the audience.

“The world is changing fast, and the businesses that survive are the ones who adapt. You can either watch the future happen—or you can build it with us. The choice is yours,” he stressed.  — Janelle Lorzano
