South Korean comedian Park Ji-sun and her mother found dead at home

South Korean comedian-actress Park Ji-sun was found dead along with her mother at her home in Seoul on Monday, media reports said. She was 35.

On November 2, Korean news outlets reported the death of the mother and daughter after they were discovered unconscious by the police.

According to the Yonhap news agency, the police was dispatched to Park’s residence in Mapo District after receiving a report from her father that he could not contact either of them.

She was reportedly being treated for an unspecified skin disease and her mother was living with her.

Police found a one-page note presumed to have been written by the popular comedian’s mother, the Yonhap report also said. The content was not revealed as requested by her family.

Meanwhile, police said Tuesday that while they will continue to investigate the exact cause of Park’s death, they decided not to conduct an autopsy at the family’s request.

“No foul play is suspected, as there was no sign of a break-in and what was presumed to be a suicide note was found,” the Seoul Mapo Police Station was quoted by The Korean Herald as saying.

Ji Sun started her career through Korean Broadcasting System in 2007 and appeared in various TV shows including Gag Concert, Infinite Challenge, Happy Together and You Hee-yeol’s Sketchbook.
