At 35 years old, Dimples Romana is still hoping to earn her college degree. The actress was once enrolled in the Tourism program of the University of Santo Tomas for three years.
She also spent two years in Enderun Colleges’ culinary program.
“It’s always my frustration to finish my studies kasi when I came back from Enderun, that was around the time I thought I could finish it. But then ‘One More Chance’ came along and it was such a big role that I couldn’t pass it up. Pero ang saya lang because I got to have good friends sa network. Yung pagluluto dati natuto ako sa kusina. Mas technical na ngayon kasi naturuan na ako. Yung tourism naman, yung mga lifetime friends ko coming from UST lahat,” she said in a report from Pilipino Star Ngayon.
The actress said she chose to work in order to support her mother and siblings despite having a family of her own.
“Nagkaroon ako ng choice noon. Patapos yung kapatid ko noon ng Nursing, kahit nagkapamilya na ako, napakabait ng asawa ko dahil hinahayaan niya akong makapagbigay pa rin sa pamilya ko. May college pa kasi akong kapatid eh. So may mga pagkakataon na uunahin mo yung pagiging ate mo. So dahil alam ko na nung nag-i-school ako mahihirapan kami na mapag-aral ng Nursing yung kapatid ko kaya siya muna yung sinuportahan ko,” she said.
Now that Dimples has several businesses, if given the chance, she said she will take up a program involving business administration.
“Hindi nawawala sa plano ko na mag-aral. I might just do Business Administration para magamit ko rin. Gagawin ko na dapat yan after Bagani kaso iba ang plano ni Lord eh. Biruin mo kung hindi ko tinanggap yuing Kadenang Ginto, walang Daniela,” she shared.
