Vice Ganda dares Quiboloy to stop Probinsyano and EDSA traffic

With his “ability” to stop an earthquake, Pastor Apollo Quiboloy — founder and leader of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, The Name Above Every Name, Inc. — was challenged by comedian-host Vice Ganda to put a stop to the longest-running TV series in the country and the notorious traffic in EDSA.

During the Tawag ng Tanghalan segment of It’s Showtime aired on Monday, Vice Ganda made the joke while discussing the primetime series Ang Probinsyano. In his chit-chat with co-host Jhong Hilario who previously starred as a villain in the teleserye, the Unkabogable star said, “Alam mo kung sino lang ang pinakamatinding magiging kalaban ni Cardo? Naku, kabahan si Cardo.

“Ang pinaka-kalaban ni Cardo, ang feeling ko, si Quiboloy. Yung nagpahinto ng lindol. Si Quiboloy lang ang magpapahinto ng Probinsyano, abangan niyo ‘yan,” he jested, drawing laughter from the audience.

Vice Ganda then dared the pastor: “So ano, hinahamon kita Quiboloy ipahinto mo nga ang Probinsyano. Napahinto mo pala ang lindol, e. (N)apakayabang niyo pala eh!

“Sabi niya daw, stop!” Vice said, mimicking what Quiboloy said.

Vice also challenged the pastor to put an end to the traffic problem in EDSA. “Sige nga, punta ka sa gitna ng EDSA, stop mo yung traffic dun,” he said.

Vice was referring to the pastor’s statement that he ordered the magnitude 6.6. Mindanao earthquake last October 29 to stop. Originating off Tulusan town in Cotabato, the tremor devastated areas in Central Mindanao and Davao Region.

“Sabi ko, ‘Lindol, huminto ka.’ Huminto,” Quiboloy said during the October 30 episode of his weekly TV show, Give Us This Day, produced and aired by his religious sect.
