Kapamilya star Kim Chiu is now officially part of the It’s Showtime family.
The noontime show on Monday, September 28, welcomed Kim as its newest host with an opening dance number from the actress during the live episode.
Kim did not hold back her tears as co-host Vice Ganda thanked her for choosing “to stay and be with us.”
“Nakaka-fragile ‘yung salitang thank you Ma. And ‘yung salitang ‘stay’. Thank you na pinayagan niyo ako na tumuntong dito at magkakasama tayo,” said Kim.
In an Instagram post, Kim also penned a “thank you” message for It’s Showtime’s warm welcome.
“Thank you @itsshowtimena family sa masayang pag welcome kanina, sa mga hosts to the staff and crew. Thank you po!❤️ Maraming Salamat din po tita @cvvidanes @direklauren for this opportunity!❤️?? Maraming Salamat,” she wrote.
Kim had already made several appearances as a guest host on It’s Showtime before. There’s no word, however, if and when the other female hosts Anne Curtis and Mariel Rodriguez, who are both on maternity leave, will return to the noontime show.
