One Piece live-action star and Japanese actor Mackenyu Arata is now in Manila to headline the Manila Pop Culture Convention 2023 and his first-ever fanmeet in the country.
A clip reposted by Philippine Concerts on Friday night showed Mackenyu’s arrival in the country ahead of his appearance at the ManiPopCon at the Ayala Malls Manila Bay.

Mackenyu, who’s famed for his role as Roronoa Zoro in Netflix live-action anime adaptation of One Piece, is set to participate in a panel discussion, and hold a photo and autograph session with fans at the said event on November 18 and 19.
He is also holding his Closer To You fanmeet at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on Monday, November 20.
Aside from One Piece, the 27-year-old also starred in other live-action adaptions such as Rurouni Kenshin, Knights of the Zodiac, and Over Drive.
