Seasoned actress Sylvia Sanchez was very thankful that the rainy clouds went away during her son Arjo Atayde and Maine Mendoza’s wedding day in Baguio.
The celebrity couple tied the knot in Alphaland Baguio Mountain Lodges Chapel on Friday, July 28 after being together for almost four years.
Prior to their wedding, the two didn’t give much hints or spoilers about the details of the event and had particularly stayed discreet till its D-day.
Sylvia finally got to share bits of the story of their intimate wedding on social media.
In an Instagram post, Sylvia shared a footage of the elegant wedding venue with a breathtaking view of the Cordillera mountains.
She shared that she remained faithful that the event would go accordingly despite the threat of bad weather brought by Typhoon Egay.
“July 26 2023 ang lakas ng bagyo pero hindi ako kabado. July 27, 2023 ang lakas pa din ng ulan pero hindi pa din ako kabado,” wrote Sylvia.
She also shared her uplifting conversation with Maine a day before the wedding which went:
“July 27, tinext ko si Maine
Love you Maine ???
Love you titaaa ? sana po maging ok lahat tomorrow.
Magiging ok yan Maine???
Ang dami daming nagdadasal❤️
For the nth time pinatunayan ng DIYOS na sya ang DIYOS na makapangyarihan sa lahat, mapagmahal at walang imposible sa KANYA.”
“July 28,2023. Mismong araw ng kasal nina ARJO at MAINE ? Heto po ang panahon,” said Sylvia which was supported by her video showing a mountainous view of clear skies.
Sylvia expressed her gratitude to God and quoted a bible verse, “Maraming, maraming, maraming salamat po PANGINOONG JESUS ???? Matthew 8:23-27 ???.”
