These two pilots from Parañaque City are indeed couple goals!

Luigi and Cello Custodio, who are both pilots by profession, recently went viral on social media after they shared a footage of their first-ever flight as husband and wife on December 8, 2022.

“When people found out na magkakalipad kami, jino-joke nila kami, ‘Oh sino na talaga ‘yung in command dyan?’ ‘Si wife na ba ‘yung in command?’ Once we enter the cockpit, we’re still husband and wife. Pero what comes first syempre ‘yung work,” Luigi told the Philippine STAR.

“Kapag kunwari, magsa-start na ‘yung lipad, parang nagshi-shift na kami agad to our roles as pilot. and work mode. When we do our welcome speech, inintroduce niya ako as wife. dun sa speech niya,” Cello added.

According to the couple, the experience was “once in a blue moon.”

“We don’t get to do it every day so ‘Yung flight talaga na ‘yun was very special for us,” she said.

“Sabi ko, not all couples are gonna be able to experience or say that we’re able to have shared this moment together. It was really a great experience [for] me. She’s my wife so sobrang relaxed ako,” he echoed.

“Mas gusto ko siyang makalipad kasi siguro kasi mas open ako na to ask him na, in what area can I improve? Mas nabibigyan niya ako ng tips ng how to become a better pilot na hindi ‘yung parang masama sa loob namin na masabihan nang ganon. ‘Yun talaga ‘yung isa sa couple goals namin. Isa rin na magkalipad kami na ‘yung passenger namin is ‘yung baby namin. ‘Yun naman ang family goals namin,” Cello noted.

Luigi first met Cello in 2017, when she was still a trainee in the airline company.

“When she first flew with us, ‘yung flight namin was like ano, the call time was 3am so medyo antok antok pa. So ‘yun ‘yung first impression like, ‘ah she’s pretty,’” he described his first reaction to his now-wife.

“During that time kasi syempre bago ako dun sa airlines so tahimik lang, hindi ako masyado nakikipag-interact tapos  kasi senior ko siya so wala talaga sa mind ko of us being in a relationship or being more than colleagues,” Cello said.

After a couple of years, they were reunited for a work dinner.

“For a while hindi kami masyadong nagkikita, and then nung nagkasabay kami parang destiny ba,” said Luigi.

Their relationship became official in 2020 and tied the knot two years later.

As of writing, the uploaded video has already garnered 212,000 views on TikTok.

“Wag lang kayo mag aaway sa gitna ng byahe charrr. Legit na sana all,” a netizen commented.

“Paano po comms nyo? “Flaps up na mahal?” another netizen said in jest.

Despite turbulences that life could give, they promise to be co-pilots forever!

“‘Yun naman talaga sa loob ng cockpit, to help each other and to make the workload easier, ganun din ako [sa] outside work life natin. To support and assist you in any way I can,” Cello said.
