Dina Bonnevie confirms Alex Gonzaga as the ‘unprofessional co-worker’ in viral interview clip

Dina Bonnevie finally spoke up about the issue of her encounter with an “unprofessional” young actress, confirming it to be Alex Gonzaga.

In the Tuesday episode of Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Dina addressed her 2018 interview clip which recently resurfaced and had netizens speculating who the co-worker she was referring to.

Alex, on the other hand, opened up in her Youtube vlog last December about getting traumatized by a veteran actress for humiliating her on set for her alleged tardiness.

Dina and Alex previously starred together in a 2011 TV5 romance drama series.

“We were doing a teleserye then and it didn’t come naman without reason. We were working together kaya lang it didn’t happen once, it happened once, twice, thrice,” Dina was quoted as saying in the Fast Talk interview.

The actress said she decided to confront Alex about her working habits as none of their co-workers had the audacity to talk to her.

“There were other co-workers getting irked about, ‘yung working habits n’ya…Gabby (Concepion), Cheska Iñigo, si Nadine Lustre, we were all together and nobody had the strength or the audacity to come up to her and talk to her.”

Dina also denied Alex’s claim that she shouted at her from head to foot since they were filming at a church.

The veteran actress had the chance to talk about matter with Alex while shooting their mother-daughter scene, saying the latter even turned emotional during their confrontation.

“If you wanna stay long in this business, you cannot last na ganyan ang attitude mo. Palagi kang late, dito ka pa maliligo sa set, you cannot even memorize your lines, hindi ka makaiyak. And then nagagalit s’ya kay Nadine kung nauunang umiyak si Nadine, eksena n’ya raw ‘yun.

“I’m not talking to you like this because I want to put you down. I want you to succeed in your career, I want you to be great. Sabi ko, kung gusto mong magtagal sa industriya, hindi ganyan ang ugali, Alex.”

Dina reiterated that she has no ill feelings towards Alex but admitted she was displeased over Alex’s remark that she painted her as the “bad guy”.

“Hindi ako na-offend na tinawag akong matanda.  It’s true, matanda na ako. I’m 61. But I’d like to see people at 61 if they’re still looking fresh. Sorry, but I feel fresh. Hindi ako na-offend dun. Okay kami kaya ako nagulat dun sa ‘matandang artista’, ‘I was painted as the bad guy.’

“For me, dun ako nainis. Painting you as the bad guy is inventing stories to make you look bad. I wasn’t inventing stories. But that’s past. It’s changed. Nagbago naman s’ya bago natapos ang taping. Hindi ako galit sa kanya.”

Dina also denied throwing shade at Alex’s cake icing smearing issue with her recent banter with a waiter during her birthday celebration, saying it was just for fun.

“It was a joke. I didn’t intend to hurt (Alex). If I hurt Alex’s feelings because na-post ‘yun, sorry. Pero it was just a joke, sorry we were just having fun nung birthday ko,” said Dina.
