After three years of ‘no label’: Man surprises love of his life with computer code to make their relationship official

A 27-year-old man from Albay made sure to put a lot of effort when he decided to ask a girl to make their relationship official after three years of “no label.”

Uploader Bjon Andrei Tubice said that he and Joy Aspe have been enjoying each other’s company since 2019.

Bjon and Joy crossed paths in 2016 through a social media app. Bjon said that his friends were the first ones who were interested in Joy.

So parang three of my friends, ‘yun po ‘yung may gusto sa kanya.

During that time, both parties were aware that they were not yet ready to enter another relationship after experiencing heartbreaks.

In the past three years, Bjon admitted that he never asked or opened up to Joy about the status of their relationship.

Kasi nag start din lang po kami as friends talaga,” he said.

On social media, he saw several TikTok videos were women film the day they officially called their suitor a “boyfriend.”

Kaya ako parang naisip ko, gusto ko na maging gentleman and ako na ‘yung magtanong sa kanya after three years na nagkakilala kami,” he said.

On September 22, 2022, Bjon, a computer science student, created a “special” code to officially ask Joy to be his girlfriend.

Ang sinet ko pong password that time is happy third anniversary. Tapos nung pag enter niya, dun na po lumabas ‘yung message na ‘yun nga po, alam ko medyo matagal na tayo, can I ask you na to be officially my girlfriend?” Bjon shared.

Bjon received a yes from Joy! Their relationship is now official after three years in the “talking stage.”

Kasi nag flashback ‘yung memories, ‘yung moments namin before. Tapos ‘yun, she started crying,” he described Joy’s reaction.

Bjon planned the code for almost two weeks but finished the actual coded message in just two hours. According to him, Joy did not have any hint about his surprise as she expected to accompany him while doing a school work.

“Siguro masasabi ko po sa mga nagsasabi ng “Sana All”, maybe start to more of appreciate ‘yung mga meron tayo sa buhay, especially kung may partner na tayo, maybe hindi nila nagawa ‘yung ganung way na nagawa ko for her, for Joy. Pero I believe na may mga tao ding nag e-effort sa kanila in any ways na they can possibly do,” Bjon noted.
