Winwyn Marquez reflects on two-week postpartum struggles

-

Winwyn Marquez opened up on the struggles she faced two weeks after giving birth to her daughter Luna.

The actress and former beauty queen took to Instagram last Sunday, May 15, to tell her followers how Luna changed her world.

“There are times that I find myself [folding] under the pressure of it all and cry for days pero natutunan ko that I shouldn’t be afraid to ask [for] help because even if I think I can do everything alone and be a super mom (like I imagined while being pregnant) with my new born, I can’t yet.” she wrote.

Moreover, Winwyn said talking to people has helped her a lot when she felt the pressure of being a new mommy.

“Laking tulong may kausap na kaibigan and family, laking tulong na supportive ang partner. A simple hug and paalala na nandiyan siya malaking bagay na. Sabi nga nila it will be a little easier as days go by,” she said.

Winwyn concluded her post by acknowledging all first-time mothers who have the same experience postpartum.

“I know a lot of new moms naexperience din to sa unang stage and gusto ko kayo i-hug!! Hindi madali..madaming questions and fears pero please remember you are not alone. We can do this mama para kay baby kakayanin!” she said.

Winwyn first announced her pregnancy last December 2021, yet to keep other details about it private.

Last February 2021, the Reina Hispanoamerica 2017 titleholder revealed that she is in a relationship, but has also kept details about her partner private, as well.
