Alex Gonzaga has poked fun at her sister Toni Gonzaga’s viral performance of Roar at a campaign event with a parody.
Through an Instagram story on Wednesday, the comedienne and YouTuber shared a video of her singing the chorus of the Katy Perry song in front of her elder sister.
Toni, meanwhile, jammed and laughed as her sister tried her best to copy her moves.
“Plakado kita siisss,” wrote Alex alongside laughing emojis in a separate Instagram story, showing a video of Toni’s performance next to Alex’s impersonation video.
Toni has been performing the 2013 hit song at the Uniteam campaign rallies of presidential aspirant Bongbong Marcos and running mate Sara Duterte.
The former Pinoy Big Brother host, however, has been criticized by supporters of rival candidates for supposedly failing to hit the high notes in her versions of Roar and Titanium, which genereated memes on social media.
During a recent campaign sortie in Cavite, Toni spoke up against “cancel culture” and addressed allegations that she’s been paid to host and sing at the BBM-Sara rallies.
“Napakasarap po ang makasama sa rally ng UniTeam sapagkat sa Uniteam hindi uso ang cancel culture. Ang buhay na buhay sa Uniteam (ay) Filipino culture,” she said.
She added, “Kung ang puso ng iba ay punong-puno ng galit, ang puso nating lahat ay punong-puno ng pagmamahal at pag-unawa.”
