Alex Gonzaga defends sister Toni from netizen’s ‘Teddie walang kwenta’ comment

Alex Gonzaga was forced to defend sister Toni Gonzaga after a netizen accused the latter of not extending any help amid the coronavirus situation in the country.

A netizen on Monday said “SI TEDDIE SALAZAR LANG TALAGA WALANG KWENTA,” retweeting a photo of Bea Alonzo preparing meals for frontliners.

Toni and Bea played as Teddie and Bobbie Salazar, respectively, in the now-iconic Four Sisters and a Wedding movie, with Angel Locsin and Shaina Magdayao as the other Salazar siblings.

While the tweet seemed to be indirect shade at Toni, Alex couldn’t help but come to the defense of her sister. She said her ate isn’t fond of posting her relief efforts online just to show that they are helping.

“Teddie Salazar walang kwenta pero yung Toni Gonzaga dami na naitulong di lang sya mapost. Ako magpopost teka lang,” replied Alex to the tweet.

She then posted a photo of the relief goods donated by her older sister and revealed other charitable works of Toni.

“The 4th batch of our 1k relief goods is from my sister. She has been continuously helping without posting anything. She has built and renovated different churches, has scholars and regular feeding program for kids. Ako nalang magpost kasi im so proud of my generous Ate!”

Toni earlier lectured a netizen who attacked her with the same allegation, saying that “people can work and help in silence”.
