Fans of original Eat Bulaga hosts Tito, Vic, and Joey and other Dabarkads rejoiced after the announcement of their transfer to TV5.
The hashtag #EatBulagaTV5 landed on Twitter’s trending topics on Wednesday as netizens took to social media to air their reaction over TVJ (Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, Joey De Leon) and fellow Dabarkads hosts’ switch to the Kapatid network.
“Thank you finally Dabarkads finds home,” a Facebook user wrote under a Phiippine STAR social media card.
“Good luck!! Solid One for all ,all for one ! Talaga Dabarkads!!!,” wrote a US-based Eat Bulaga fan.
“Back to back na ba with Showtime?,” commented another, while referring to Eat Bulaga’s rival noontime show It’s Showtime which currently airs on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, and TV5.
One also said, “Can’t wait to see u guys..sana kau lahat pati ibang host..and with the same segment specially pinoy henyo..Goodluck and best wishes.”
“See u soon legit Dabarkads,” another wrote.
Mediaquest revealed in a press statement on Wednesday, June 7, that TVJ and other Dabarkads signed a deal to produce content for TV5 and other Mediaquest platforms.
“I’m happy that Tito, Vic, and Joey will now call TV5 their home,” stated Mediaquest president and CEO Jane Basa.
“I’m honored that these pillars of the Philippine entertainment industry have agreed to work with us,” she added.
Dabarkads Maine Mendoza, Ryan Agoncillo, Ryzza Mae Dizon, Pauleen Luna, and Allan K also shared a teaser clip of their upcoming comeback via TV5 after cutting ties with TAPE, Inc. along with the trio last May 31.
