Netizens commend supervisor for understanding situation of fastfood crew who juggles school and work

This assistant manager caught a fastfood crew attending online classes while on duty.

Instead of calling out the attention of the employee, he understood her situation.

Apparently, he was in the same situation when he was still a working student.

“Nararamdaman ko ‘yung nararandaman niya that time.

Alvin said that it was against their company policy for employees to use mobile phones while working. He added that at first glance, he thought Lyngel Fuertes was just casually using her mobile phone.

The 22-year-old working student admitted that at first, she was nervous about attending the emergency class while she was assigned at the drive-thru section of the fastfood store.

“Di rin po ako nakapagpaalam that time.

Alvin said he could relate to Lyngel’s situation since he was also a working student before he was promoted as assistant manager.

The uploaded video on social media has already garnered more than 2.4 million views. Netizens admire the dedication of Lyngel to attend class, while others commended Alvin’s understanding of the situation.

“Salute sa company na tumatanggap pa din ng mga working students!” a netizen said.

“I really admire them for their dedication and hardwork! Salamat sa pag intindi, manager!” another netizen commented.

Alvin described Lyngel as a responsible and punctual employee during their graveyard shift. She has been working in the fastfood chain for two years now.

Lyngel is an incoming fourth year BS Chemistry student at the Eulogio “Amang” Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology. She has been working since she was 17 years old to help her parents sustain the needs of their family.

“Mahirap po talaga. Puyat, pagod, malala talaga yung kalaban natin kapag nasa fast-food chain tayo.

Lyngel also expressed gratitude to her supervisor for understanding her situation during that time.

“Thank you, sir.
