Jericho Rosales and Carlo Aquino tied for Best Actor, while Maris Racal and veteran actress Odette Khan shared the Best Actress award at the 49th Gawad Urian.
Jericho was recognized for his performance in Quezon, while Carlo won for Bar Boys: After School during the awards ceremony held on October 8, 2026, at the Teresa Yuchenco Auditorium of De La Salle University in Taft Avenue, Manila.
The win marked Jericho’s second Best Actor trophy from Gawad Urian, following his victory for Alagwa at the 36th edition. For Carlo, it was his first win in the category.
Odette, meanwhile, earned her first Best Actress award for reprising her role as Justice Hernandez in Bar Boys: After School. She previously won Best Supporting Actress at the 41st Gawad Urian for the original Bar Boys. She shared this year’s top acting honor with Maris, who was recognized for Sunshine.
The double tie made history as the first time in Gawad Urian’s history that both the Best Actor and Best Actress categories ended in a draw in the same year.
Bar Boys: After School, directed by Kim Oebanda, also scored a third acting award through Will Ashley, who won Best Supporting Actor. Meanwhile, Jennica Garcia took home Best Supporting Actress for Sunshine, in which she played the sibling of Racal’s character.
The victories marked the first Best Actress wins at Gawad Urian for both Maris and Odette.
