Actor-model Marco Gumabao has expressed support and happiness for the engagement of his former girlfriend, Cristine Reyes, to businessman and former National Youth Commission chairman Gio Tingson.
Speaking to The STAR during the Kaogma Festival 2026 in Camarines Sur, Marco said he was “super happy” for Cristine, noting that their bond began long before their romantic relationship.
“We started off as friends. We ended the relationship as friends. So, of course, I want to congratulate her for her engagement,” he said. “I’m sure that Gio will take care of her.”
Marco also shared that he had previously met Gio, describing him as “a great guy.” “I’m sure that Cristine is in good hands. And I’m happy for them,” he added.
The actor emphasized that he and Cristine parted ways amicably, saying, “Cristine deserves to be loved. And sadly, our relationship didn’t work… We move on, but we don’t hold grudges. We pray for the other person as much as possible. And no bitterness.”
Currently “happily single,” Marco said he is focusing on personal growth and his career after recently wrapping up filming for the Vivamax movie Pasakalye.
