OPM rap star Hev Abi has been placed under police custody following his arrest over a search warrant related to drugs and firearms.
The artist, whose real name is Gabriel Abilla, along with six people, was apprehended during Oplan Paglalansag Omega in Diliman, Quezon City, on Tuesday, April 14, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-National Capital Region (CIDG-NCR) confirmed.
Reports stated that the arrest was carried out by a search warrant for violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act and the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Authorities reportedly seized the following items: a G3 Taurus Cal. 9mm pistol, a magazine of G3 Taurus Cal. 9mm pistol, and 15 pieces of live ammunition of G3 Taurus Cal. 9mm.
Hev Abi is best known for his viral rap tracks, including “Para Sa Streets”, “Alam Mo Ba Girl”, and “Makasarili Malambing”, among others.
