Aiko Melendez is one proud mom to her daughter, Marthena Jickain, who is taking on her first acting project where she portrays a younger version of the actress in an upcoming short film.

Marthena is Aiko’s daughter from her ex-partner, Martin Jickain.

The actress shared behind-the-scenes moments from the production of “Kapag Humupa Na Ang Ingay,” where Marthena stars opposite actor-singer KD Estrada.

“It truly warms my heart to witness Marthena take this beautiful step in her journey as she stars in her very first short film portraying the young Aiko Melendez in our project ‘Kapag Humupa Na Ang Ingay,’” Melendez wrote on Facebook.

“As a mother, there’s no greater joy than seeing your child embrace her passion with courage, dedication, and love for the craft. Watching her on set, giving life to a character so close to my own story, is something I will forever treasure. This moment is more than just a milestone—it’s a memory etched in my heart,” she added.

Melendez also expressed her admiration for Estrada, praising both his talent and professionalism on set.

“I’m also very happy that she is paired with KD Estrada, who has shown extraordinary professionalism throughout the shoot. Beyond his undeniable talent, what stood out the most is his kindness and respect towards everyone on set. It’s always inspiring to work with someone who not only knows how to act, but also carries himself with humility and grace,” she said.

Aiko further shared her excitement for the project’s release, writing, This project was created with so much love, and we can’t wait for all of you to experience the story we’ve poured our hearts into.

“Kapag Humupa Na Ang Ingay” is set to premiere on April 2 on her YouTube channel.

It is produced under One A Productions, a joint effort “29 years in the making” by Melendez and Onemig Bondoc, who recently confirmed rekindling their romance in February after nearly three decades of friendship.
