“Eat Bulaga!” host Wally Bayola sustained minor injuries after figuring in a motorcycle accident in Camarines Sur.
Bayola was reportedly on his way to Naga City on Sunday afternoon, March 29, when the incident occurred along Andaya Highway in the municipality of Lupi.
Initial investigation by local police suggested that the motorcycle may have hit a pothole while the comedian was riding with a group en route to the Bicol region.
According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in Lupi, Bayola sustained multiple abrasions on his arms and legs and experienced limited mobility in his right leg, suggesting a possible injury.
Rescuers immediately brought him to the Bicol Medical Center for treatment and further medical evaluation.
In a statement, Wally assured the public that he is now safe but will undergo a follow-up checkup.
A post on the official Facebook page of TVJ also confirmed that Bayola is in stable condition.
“Sa mga nangangamusta kay Dabarkads Wally, maayos na po ang kanyang kalagayan. Maliban sa kaunting sugat at bukol, maayos at ligtas na po ang kanyang kalagayan,” the TVJ’s official page wrote.
