OPM icon Ice Seguerra revealed that he wants to collaborate with P-pop Kings SB19 and Pop band Ben&Ben as he played “Truth or Sing” with The Philippine STAR.
“Ako gusto ko talaga makakolaborate si SB19. Hindi ko alam kung sila ‘yung mag-acoustic o ako ‘yung sasayaw. Wala pa ako doon. Hindi ko pa alam kung anong mangyayaring adjustment natin d’yan,” he said.
“Of course, siyempre, I’ve always wanted to collaborate also with Ben and Ben. ‘Yun, on top of my head sila,” he added.
In the same interview, Seguerra got candid about his journey transitioning from a child actor to a musician. With confidence, he said he didn’t even feel that he once wanted to stop making music.
“Parang wala. Sa pag-aartista, definitely. With music, I don’t remember a time na nag-give up ako. Kasi, I mean, may two weeks nga lang na hindi ako kumakanta, miss na miss ko siya eh. Wala ka man sa mainstream, you can always sing in bars. You can always sing wherever you are,” he said.
Adding, “Whether it be maraming nakikinig or hindi masyado, I don’t think I’ll ever stop singing because for me, it’s my main source of expression.”
When asked if he misses appearing in movies and teleseryes, Seguerra was quick to answer, “I miss acting but I don’t miss the waiting.”
Being in the entertainment industry for so long, Seguerra even shared that he already practiced the art of “deadma” to bashers.
“Alam mo, hindi ko alam kung anong misconception nila sa akin. Ganun ako ka hindi concerned sa mga sinasabi nila. Siguro, ang pinakamalaki misconception na ito: Puro looks lang ‘yung dala ko. Guys, may talent din ako. Hindi lang puro pogi,” he said in jest.
“Siguro pinaka-misconception is masungit ako, or suplado, ganyan. ‘Pag gutom ako tapos nakita mo, wala akong magagawa eh. Gutom ako eh? Hindi ako makaka-smile, ‘di ba? I only become this when I’m in front of a camera. Because this is my job. But when I’m outside, I like being quiet. I’ve learned to give my energy to people who matter. I’m at this point in my life that I can’t actually be insulted by people na hindi ko naman nakakasama. Life goes on. Wapakels,” he added.
The OPM star recently visited the Philippine STAR office in Parañaque City, where he serenaded fans with his hit songs at The Office Playlist. He also concluded his “Being Ice: Live” concert at the New Frontier Theater on February 27, 2026.
