“Nation’s Mutya” Ashtine Olviga is set to prove her versatility in an upcoming anthology series on Viva One, taking on four different genres across four standalone episodes.
The four-part series, titled “Viva One Originals: Ashtine”, aims to highlight what Studio Viva described as “multiverse levels” of Ashtine’s acting range, with each story presenting a distinct character, varying co-stars, and contrasting storylines.
The “Ang Mutya ng Section E” star will take on diverse roles in episodes titled “Who’s The Boss?”, “My Melody,” “Balik Eskwela,” and “Bahay-bahayan,” with each representing the genres comedy, romance, horror, and drama, respectively.
The first episode, “Who’s The Boss?”, is directed by RC Delos Reyes and casts Olviga alongside Rufa Mae Quinto and Loren Marinas. It is scheduled to premiere on March 13, 2026, on Viva One’s streaming platform.
This will be followed by “My Melody,” directed by Fifth Solomon, where Ashtine stars opposite singer-songwriter Rob Deniel, marking his acting debut. The episode is set for release on March 20, 2026.
The third installment, “Balik Eskwela,” explores the horror genre under the direction of Roni S. Benaid. The episode also stars Olviga with Marco Gumabao and Sara Joe and will premiere on March 27, 2026.
Closing the anthology is “Bahay-bahayan,” a drama helmed by Joy Aquino, featuring Olviga with veteran actress Claudine Barretto. The final episode is slated for release on April 4, 2026.
According to Pilipino STAR Ngayon, the project marks a milestone for Ashtine as she becomes the first Viva talent entrusted to lead an anthology series on Viva One.
Prior to this, the actress appeared in the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2025 entry “Manila’s Finest”.
She gained wider recognition through her breakout role in “Ang Mutya ng Section E”, where she was paired with fellow rising star Andres Muhlach.
