Jake Cuenca finally addressed social media claims suggesting he had dental veneers.
The actor, in an intimate interview with select media, including The Philippine STAR, firmly denied undergoing any cosmetic dental procedures, stating“My teeth are 110% natural. I’ve never worn braces in my life.”
Jake credited his pearly white teeth to quitting smoking and drinking—habits he gave up years ago.
“They improved through the years. Kasi, of course, I was drinking before. I’ve been sober for four years, so your teeth naturally get whiter if you don’t drink alcohol. And I used to smoke two packs a day of cigarettes, so my teeth weren’t in the best place in the world before,” explained Jake.
While Jake acknowledges rumors and clickbait are part of showbiz, he warned taking legal action against those who will make false content about it.
“It’s so unfair na parang you’re making false content…So I challenge any of them to bring a licensed dentist to check my teeth, but if I’m right, I’m gonna take a legal action na, at this point. If I’m right ha?”
“Bring your dentist, any dentist, then confirm if it’s really veneers –if they are not, then I’m gonna sue you, kasi ang daming niyo nang content na ginawa about it.
Despite the noise, Jake says he prefers being talked about over being forgotten, especially after feeling invisible during the pandemic. The actor then revealed the secret to maintaining his white teeth: “Quitting alcohol, quitting smoking played a very big part, and then whitening them every two years and if you use a straw all the time, you’ll maintain it white.
