Jane de Leon explains emotional PBB exit: ‘That house gave me peace’

-

Actress Jane De Leon opened up about the emotional impact of her recent stay inside the “Pinoy Big Brother” house as a celebrity house guest.

In a touching Facebook post, the former “Darna” star explained why she became emotional after exiting the iconic house. According to Jane, the experience gave her “acceptance and peace” which she rarely feels in the outside world.

“Emotional? Oo, ako ’yon,” she began. “Kasi kahit ang daming judgment dito sa labas, sa loob ng bahay ni Kuya… doon ko naranasan ’yung pagtanggap. Wala akong naramdamang panghuhusga. Tinanggap nila ako kung sino ako.”

Jane shared that unlike the often critical and watchful eyes of the public, the housemates treated her not as a celebrity guest, but as one of their own.

“Sa labas, ang daming mata. Ang daming opinyon. Pero sa loob, wala ni isa. Walang judgment. Walang ‘dapat ganito ka’. Just people… who saw me, felt me, and embraced me,” De Leon said. “Hindi nila ako tinuring na guest. I was never “just visiting.” They treated me like a real housemate, a sister, a friend, a part of their family.”

The actress recalled a moment with the housemates who reassured her: “Ate Jane, lagi nila sinasabi na OA kami… pero ngayon na andito ka, maiintindihan mo na.”

Leaving the house was the most difficult for Jane. She described how the housemates tried to hold on to her as she said her goodbyes, a moment she said “broke” her.

“Ang hirap umalis. Masakit kasi… ayaw din nila akong paalisin. They held my hand. They hugged me tighter. And I could see it in their eyes… they didn’t want me to go.”

Jane admitted that being in the house helped her understand what the housemates truly go through — and how genuine their emotions are.

She added that the most meaningful moments inside the house weren’t captured on live streams or cameras, but were felt deeply in the heart. “Some of the most real, raw moments? Hindi nahuli ng camera. Pero nahuli ng puso.

“Kaya kung wala ka sa loob ng bahay, you’ll never really get it. You’ll never understand why this hits so deep.”

Jane ended her post by affirming the emotional depth her stay in the iconic house gave her, “So yes, I’m emotional. Because that house gave me peace. It gave me love. It reminded me that I am more than what people say I am. And no matter what anyone out here says, no one can take that away from me.”

Jane’s exit coincided with the show’s fifth eviction night which also saw the eviction of her fellow actress Xyriel Manabat and Kapuso actor Vince Maristela.
