When Quezon meets Quezon.
Actor TJ Trinidad recently made a visit to the set of the upcoming historical biopic “Quezon”, surprising its cast members and production crew.
Trinidad, who had briefly portrayed Manuel L. Quezon in the final scene of “Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral”, warmly reunited with the film’s lead star, Rosales, over the weekend.
Earlier this year, TBA Studios officially announced that Rosales would take on the role of the first President of the Philippine Commonwealth.
Despite stepping away from continuing the role due to personal commitments, Trinidad has been vocal in his support for the project, extending his congratulations not only to Rosales but also to Benjamin Alves, who portrayed a younger Quezon in the earlier films of the series.
In photos shared by TBA Studios, the two actors can be seen sharing a hug and exchanged words of support and camaraderie, much to the delight of the cast and crew, which included cast members Romnick Sarmenta, director Jerrold Tarog, and TBA Studios President and COO Daphne O. Chiu-Soon.
Filming for Quezon is currently ongoing, with the production targeting both a local and international theatrical release later this year.
