Maris Racal and Anthony Jennings are back on track, making their first public appearance together a month after the controversy over their “intimate” conversation exposed by the actor’s ex-girlfriend Jamela Villanueva.
The two, dubbed by fans as MaThon, got reunited during a fan conference at a mall in Taguig on Tuesday, as part of their promotional activities for the upcoming action-drama TV series “Incognito.”
Maris and Anthony were seen interacting with their fans, and flashing smiles on stage while answering questions from press alongside their co-stars Ian Veneracion, Daniel Padilla, Kaila Estrada, Richard Gutierrez, and Baron Geisler.
Anthony also reposted Instagram stories expressing their support for his and Maris’ tandem.
Maris, on the other hand, has maintained her social media hiatus since the controversy broke out in early December.
To recall, Maris and Anthony received backlash after the latter’s ex-girlfriend shared “receipts” of the loveteam partners’ alleged cheating via Instagram stories of the private messages between the two.
Maris later issued a public apology addressing the matter in a more than 14-minute-long video. The actress admitted being truly embarrassed for her actions, stressing that she was “clueless” about Anthony still dating Jamela when the actor supposedly led her to believe they already called it quits.
Anthony also briefly spoke up about the issue, saying sorry for causing hurt to Maris and Jamela in a 22-second video.
