Liza Soberano and Jeffrey Oh, the former talent and “CEO” of Careless Management, sparked intrigue online after being spotted together in Singapore.
Rumors began after a video captured Jeffrey behind Liza while she conversed with Indonesian actress Raline Shah at the Asia Summit 2024 went viral on social media platforms.
The sighting of Jeffrey, who was arrested by the Bureau of Immigration (BI) in July 2023 for lacking a proper work or business permit in the Philippines, caught the public’s attention.
The BI’s arrest of Jeffrey raised concerns over his legal status in the Philippines, as he is a Korean-American citizen.
Adding to the intrigue is the claim by Liza’s former talent manager Ogie Diaz that the actress allegedly helped Jeffrey secure his release from detention.
Careless founder James Reid had earlier expressed his grievances with his former business partner, accusing Oh of deception and a financial loss of ₱100 million.
Amidst the controversies, the actor-singer previously addressed rumors about him terminating Liza’s contract and clarified that the actress was the one who chose to leave Careless.
