Gerald Anderson was spotted personally extending a helping hand to stranded victims during the flooding caused by Typhoon Carina.
On X, a netizen uploaded a video of the actor braving floodwaters as he encouraged the crying child to come with him before carrying her out of a submerged house in Quezon City.
“Hali ka na, sasakay na tayo…Okay, ako ang bahala sa’yo,” the actor was heard reassuring the child in the video.

The actor happened to be actively making efforts amid the typhoon as another X user shared a photo of him with a rubber boat, helping transport other evacuees to safety in his area.

Gerald, who’s an auxiliary lieutenant commander of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Auxiliary K9 Squadron, has previously made similar efforts when such disaster strikes.
As of 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, PAGASA announced that Typhoon Carina intensified into a supertyphoon.
Metro Manila has also been placed under a state of calamity following the heavy flood and rainfall caused by the typhoon and southwest monsoon.
