In response to recent rumors circulating online, the agency representing South Korean actor Kim Soo Hyun, has officially denied his alleged romantic involvement with actress Kim Sae Ron.
The speculation sparked when Sae Ron posted a now-deleted photo on her Instagram Stories showing herself and Soo Hyun on Sunday morning, March 24.
This quickly ignited rumors of a romantic relationship between the two artists, prompting a swift response from Soo Hyun’s agency.
In a formal statement released by GOLDMEDALIST, the agency clarified that the dating rumors are unfounded, as reported by Soompi.
The agency emphasized that the photo in question appears to have been “taken in the past”, during a time when both actors were “under the same agency”.
They expressed uncertainty over Sae Ron’s decision to share the photo and asserted that the rumors were “not currently true”.
Furthermore, the agency addressed the negative impact of the circulating rumors on Soo Hyun’s reputation, citing “unnecessary misunderstandings and groundless speculation.”
They also vowed to take legal action against any malicious slander or defamatory posts aimed at the actor.
“We ask that you refrain from writing rumors or groundless speculation regarding this matter,” the agency urged in their statement.
It can be recalled that Sae-ron was fined 20 million won for drunk driving in Seoul in May 2022. According to Korean media reports, the Seoul Central District Court found her guilty during a trial and imposed the maximum fine allowed under the law.
Meanwhile, Soo-hyun is currently starring in the hit Netflix K-drama, “Queen of Tears”, as the on-screen partner of actress Kim Ji-won.
