It’s Showtime host Vice Ganda delighted netizens after singing Nica Del Rosario’s Rosas on national television.
In the Tuesday episode of the noontime program, It’s Showtime last Aug. 22, The TV host-comedian was interviewing a contestant during the show’s Tawag ng Tanghalan segment when the topic of songs with flowers in its lyrics was mentioned.
Vice, along with co-hosts Vhong Navarro and “Tiyang” Amy Perez, took turns thinking of song titles that prompted Vice to sing the chorus of the catchy campaign song, Rosas.
The song became well known during the election season last year as its songwriter collaborated with former Vice President Leni Robredo for her 2022 presidential campaign.
“‘Di ba and ganda niya!”, Vice commented on the song after his short performance.
“Favorite namin ni Jolina (Magdangal) ‘yan,” he added, followed by the song playing in the background.
The camera then focused on Jolina who raised the “L or Laban” hand sign, particularly popular with the supporters of Atty. Robredo known as “Kakampinks”.
It can be recalled that Vice openly endorsed Atty. Robredo as his presidential bet together with Kiko Pangilinan as vice president.
Vice Ganda and Rosas became among the trending topics on X (formerly known as Twitter) after Kakampinks reacted to the comedian singing Del Rosario’s ballad.
